Juma Labs raised a $4.5M seed round led by True Ventures

Juma Labs raised a $4.5 million seed round led by True Ventures in November 2024, when the company traded as Team-GPT. Pact and more than 30 angel investors joined the round, among them former OpenAI staff. TechCrunch reported the round on 14 November 2024.

Team-GPT and Juma Labs are the same company

Team-GPT EOOD is the legal company behind Juma Labs. It traded as Team-GPT when it raised the round, after its first product. That product is now juma.ai, and the company trades as Juma Labs. A London Stock Exchange announcement from October 2026 names it the same way: "Team-GPT EOOD, trading as Juma Labs".

Who backs Juma Labs

True Ventures, the US venture capital firm, led the round. Pact and more than 30 angel investors took part. True Ventures remains the backer Juma Labs names on its site.

Who founded it

Juma Labs was founded by Iliya Valchanov, its CEO, with Ilko Kacharov, Yavor Belakov, Katya Vaptsarova and Maria Valchanova. Iliya previously co-founded 365 Data Science, whose courses have taught more than 1.6 million professionals AI, data science and machine learning.

Juma Labs is a European AI lab. Its agents complete more than 1M pieces of work a month, and 100K+ professionals work with AI inside its products. Its senior engineers are building the new AI workspace for Potentially AI PLC, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
